sájara

The Sájara series is titled after a talented, kind and interesting ceramist I met locally in Banyoles. She gave me all her Japanese materials before she moved out of the country, and these collages on panel have been made, in part, with those papers. I’ve made my own monotypes to combine with some of the printed materials she gave me, some of which are the printed works of other artists. IN this series I really play with the foreground and background relationships in addition to the color palettes. Thank you, Sájara, for such an impactful gift.
